World Chardonnay Day is an international initiative to celebrate the virtues of the Chardonnay grape as well as the many variations of wonderful still and sparkling wines that are made from this grape variety all over the world. World Chardonnay Day not only promotes and celebrates Chardonnay but also leads the way for all of us to educate, recognize, honor, inform and share insights and observations on the growing, production, and enjoyment of this noble grape along with the wines that are made from it!

We invite you all to join in to invigorate and inspire people from around the world to plan and partake in tastings, and special events to honor, share and enjoy our favorite Chardonnay from around the World! Wineries, organizations, restaurants and consumers plan and conduct special focused Chardonnay celebrations and events to showcase and highlight the world's most popular grape variety while providing an opportunity to relax, share and enjoy this noble grape!

Up until now, there has been no valid attempt to organize a true and fitting single-day celebration of Chardonnay, so May 21 has been earmarked. Inaugural year 2021 kicked off the annual tradition of celebrating Chardonnay around the world. The 3rd week of May is a great time to focus on Chardonnay as the new releases have been distributed widely in the marketplace and are in good stock at your favorite winery tasting room, restaurant or retailer!
